I am a fun loving but serious minded artist. Wait....what the heck does that mean? Well, it means I do different bodies of work: both in a fun frame of mind, as well as work that is based on more serious concepts that I wish to portray. The dualism of my work is reflected through what is often grouped as "illustration" and "fine art"- although the lines can, and do often blur. In terms of illustration, I am interested in more specifically ( thought not limited to) creating work for story book illustration. I enjoy creating characters, especially fantasy types. In fact, elves and fairies have been a long time obsession of mine. Through the years I have developed as an artist and sought both personal as well as artistic development through my work. I found that it became important for me to use my art as an outlet for raising societal issues . This sprung forth my latest body of "Fine Art" work, that is based on Feminist concepts and ideals. In this body of work I explore what it means to be woman, on both a personal as well as societal level and the challenges and/or benefits that come with that title. Read Less
