Brandon Freels

San Francisco, CA, USA
I moved to the Bay Area from Portland, Oregon in May of this year. I have a BS in Arts and Letters and an MS in Writing/Publishing, both from Portland State University.

My passion for publishing started when I was a teenager and made my own Xeroxed fanzines and chapbooks. Throughout my life I've been involved with several small presses, such as Portland’s Future Tense Books, where I designed the interiors for numerous chapbooks, and Ooligan Press, where I designed the interior for Ruth Tenzer Feldman’s YA novel Blue Thread, and the cover for Daniel Kine’s Up Nights.

Over the summer I sharpened my ebook-making skills by interning at AK Press in Oakland, and just finished up my publishing internship at 826 Valencia in San Francisco. Currently I'm doing some volunteer writing and design work at Maximum Rocknroll.
