The Indiestore

Thesis Project â€" "The-Indiestore"

Having a closer look at the music industry, everyone will recognize that 90% of the market are dominated by a few major labels that provide only a minority of musicians and styles. However, the desire of having a broader choice towards music that is distinct and unique, is growing constantly.

Why is there such a big market with such less benefit for the musician and the label? It's rather difficult for young musicians to get popular, because money is a rarity and there's not enough time for them to promote themselves.

The majority of people don't really look for new music, they get in touch with it by coincidence, when accessing media. And if they decide to look for music, they get confronted with the chaos of a huge market that doesn't provide a proper overview.

What's the solution? It's The Indiestore, because it does all that for you. It brings order into chaos. It arranges music by genre. It presents new releases. It provides a solution on how to easyily access and purchase music - whether it's old or new. The Indiestore is an institution that makes everything a lot easier - for both musicians and for consumers.

The creative idea for the campaign was to visualize the order The Indiestore is bringing into the market, doing it very simply, just as an individual would do: Packing everything into a box that fit together and labeling it.

It's tidied up, it's easy, it's "Music Out Of The Box".
