He is qualified architect since 2005.
He graduated with honors in architecture (Florence, 2004), with the theme: "Streets of stone. Project of a system paving with sub-base dry stratified". He obtained the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Architecture (Florence 2010, XXII cycle), with the thesis: "Permeable pavings. Simplified design tools and an idea for innovation of system ". Since 2005 collaborate as co-teacher in courses taught by prof. A. Lauria. He is Honorary Fellow in "Materials and Building Elements" (since 2005) and "Technology of Architecture " (from 2011) at the Faculty of Architecture of Florence. Since 2005 collaborate with the department TAeD and the TESIS centre at the research activity; has participated in several research programs related to the following areas of study: accessibility, injury prevention, social housing for university students, healthcare architecture. The focus of his personal research has focused on the sustainable management of water resources in urban areas, in particular, has been working on "sustainable urban drainage systems" and "permeable pavings systems". He has experienced the biomimicry approach in the innovation process of building products.
