Etniq is the work of Mira Malhotra, a graphic designer and visual artist from Mumbai city. Her interests include gender studies, semiotics, design thinking, design writing and human-centered design especially within the Indian context. Having been exposed to a variety of cultures as a child, her work is oftentimes an amalgamation of what it is like to be Indian with what it is like to look upon Indianness as an outsider. She enjoys making art, frequently contributing to projects that involve hand-drawn lettering, illustration and music. An extension of her own personality, her art is characterised by humour and wit.
