I have clients in multiple industries, states and countries including large corporations and small businesses. Projects include map design and illustration, book cover design and illustration, logo design, photo retouching, brochure design and more.
My freelance title, Escape Key Graphics, is the winner of the 2012 W3 Gold Award from The International Academy of the Visual Arts for my contribution to a project as the map illustrator and designer.
I have also worked full time as an employee doing a variety of tasks ranging from web design to illustration. I have also worked in a managerial role creating a new department and managing multiple staff.

Artist Illustrator: John Potter’s self-employment title is Escape Key Graphics. As Escape Key Graphics I work as a freelance independent contractor.
I do a diverse range of work, but map illustration/design and regular illustration account for over half of the work I do as Escape Key Graphics.
In addition to acquiring new clients and fulfilling their illustration and design needs I also maintain a corporate website using WordPress, create blog posts, maintain a social media presence and use email marketing to both acquire new clients and maintain my identity with existing clients.
Clients include ShowBoats, Yachts International, AroundTown and Southern Boating Magazines, The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, Flamingo Gardens, Dover International Speedway, the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation, Treasure Cay Beach Hotel, Marina & Golf Resort and more. Also of note are illustrated map designs for boat shows including The Fort Lauderdale, Newport, Palm Beach and Miami International Boat Shows and many more.
