Ery Burns is a freelance illustrator, artist, and pattern designer from London with a colourful retro cartoon style, that occasionally errs on the dark side. A love of animals and nature, combined with a realisation from an early age that life can be both both dark, yet beautiful, are some of the themes that drive her work. Ery says
“I try to capture an element of reality in my work, for example, the sensation you might get when you look at a beautiful view, or see the colours in a lizard for the first time. My illustration and paintings are about the childlike state of wonderment and visual stimulation that people tend to lose as they get older, or more jaded by the world”. Ery has recently been commissioned by Fenchurch to design t-shirts for their forthcoming SS13 range, and is now collaborating with New York Brave Bandits on another clothing range in the US.
