Once, I thought I was gonna be an engineer... then I learned that I'd have to do calculus everyday, forever. But still, I wanted to make things. I wanted to be able to create something from nothing. I looked through my Universities' program list and found the Art and Design department. My program of choice: Communication Design. Yes! I could spend my life making stuff!
I said to myself; "I can't believe they'll pay me to come up with clever ideas..." Of course, like any aspiring designer, I soon realized the challenge that comes along with design. Figuring out how to make things work, how to make them read, and how I could get my ideas across... I never have a problem with the idea part, never have. Now, however, I have the tools to let my ideas pop off the page.
My favorite thing about design: the process. From start to finish, watching it all come together is a beautiful thing. Read Less
