Emily Truisi is a graphic designer and artist who completed her undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2011. As a double major, she specialized in Visual Arts/Graphic Design and Italian Studies. She is originally from a small town on the north shore of Long Island, New York where she developed a background in the fine arts. She began her studies at SUNY New Paltz in 2007. After being exposed to a number of different art classes she decided to concentrate in graphic design. She uses hand drawn components in her digital, graphic design pieces as a nod to her original work as a fine artist. Her current portfolio includes work that combines her skills in both fine arts and digital technology.

This experience opened her eyes to interacting in a second language and a new lifestyle and pace of living. In the fall semester of 2010 she was awarded the Luigi and Anita Traverso Italian Studies scholarship at SUNY New Paltz for academic excellence as an Italian Studies student. Read Less
