After graduating high school she had trouble deciding whether to follow a career the arts or sciences. In 2003 her application to the John Curtin Undergraduate Scholarship was accepted and it was decided that she would attend Curtin University to study Multimedia Design, a multi-disciplinary program covering a range of digital media. Part of the scholarship saw her travel to Ryerson University in Toronto where she spent six months stiudying at the advanced multimedia institution. After returning she continued her study and completed her Multimedia Design course with first class honors.
Having worked in a few design positions and a variety of projects as a student, Elise found herself with a portfolio of broad skills which was often overlooked by studios looking for specialised designers. Fortunately, the Perth Mint was looking for an individual who had a broad skill set and illustrative ability.
Elise designed and illustrated a number of coin series for The Perth Mint but left to refocus on her aspirations of entering the game industry. Elise currently resides in Melbourne and operates as a freelancer, improving her art and portfolio in her spare time. Read Less
