Being a boy in a local grade school of the city of Tijuana David sold drawings of the Japanese anime Dragon Ball Z, five pesos by the copy 10 the original one. Acused of selling drawings of the devil and an ashamed American mother in a school meeting were the result of the disastrous artistic start of this designer.

Son of an American mother and Mexican father, David was born in the city of San Diego, nevertheless for more than 17 years his home was Mexico, to continue his university studies he decided to be transferred to the neighboring country doing of his style a swaying of hybrid elements typical of a border.

Fictitious beings with popular pre-hispanic reminiscences, images influenced by the Mexican traditional esthetics, as well as metaphorical projections of the supposed national festivity (day of the dead), they alone are some of the elements that characterizes his work when its time to devise a pictorial representation.

Illustrator, Muralist & Graphic Designer, David Reyes has created unique interventions in the city of Tijuana as is the case of some murals distributed in different points of the region, he has incorporated the art in the urban infrastructure offering to the population a different perspective in ways of perceiving to the border.
