Eileen Cubbage is an artist, educator, and designer with an MFA from MICA, Hoffberger School of Painting, and a BFA in illustration from Syracuse University.
She pursues critical practice and theory relating to all things absurd, poignant, and diaristic. Specialties that inform her work are new media tinkering, type, and sound art to pursue innovative contemporary applications of drawing and design.
She is an active exhibiting professional with Awards of Excellence in Illustration from the Connecticut Art Directors Club, the New England AP News Executives Association, and the New York City Society of Professional Journalists. She holds residency fellowships from Syracuse University, the New York Studio School, New York Academy of the Arts, MICA, Sumasil Foundation for Women’s Advancement, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, I-Park Artist Colony, and Takt Kunstprojektraum International Artist Residency in Berlin. Her work has been exhibited at Delaware Center for the Creative Arts, the Drawing Center Registry Program, and recently featured in an online exhibition by soft-spot.net. Read Less
