Eric Williams grew up in Michigan, and is the son of a prominent and well respected architect. During Eric's teen years, he and his dad together designed, fabricated and flew large scale radio-controlled sail planes in national competitions, repeatedly winning top tier awards, as well as special praise for technical design and meticulous craftsmanship. In those same years, the two of them restored a 1929 Oakland coupe. Coming of age in such a creative environment instilled in him both an avid interest in the problem-solving process of design, and an acute attention to detail.

Since moving to California in 1992, Eric has designed and overseen production of award-winning creative work for various companies in the Los Angeles area.

As a senior art director at Reveal Computer Products Inc., he managed a team of designers, and was responsible for overseeing all phases of production for collateral material and retail packaging for the firm’s complete product line.

At Mattel toy company he created innovative packaging for the number one children’s network, Nickelodeon, and developed unique packaging brand identities to showcase new products for Harry Potter, Hot Wheels, Tyco RC and Looney Tunes. While working at Mattel, Williams received a Hewlett Packard Excellence Award for outstanding design in packaging.

As the creative director for BMC Group, he managed all creative aspects of a growing legal services consulting firm, including website design, promotional materials for trade shows, mailings, and advertising.

Other clients have included Green with Ivy, Pasadena, CA; Ciro Restaurant & Wine Bar, Ketchum, ID; X Channel Commerce, Portland, OR; and Stone Stanley Productions, Hollywood, CA.

Eric has also designed and developed highly inventive solutions within the field of automotive specialty design. Interested in automobile design since childhood, he became active in Los Angeles-area vintage sports car racing and is currently a member of VARA, HSR-West and The Porsche Club of America. Recently he designed and built an ingenious device for a quick-adjust corner weight balance system, which optimizes handling characteristics for light weight amateur race cars. Read Less
