I am a self-employed Modelmaker and Designer in my first few years of industry after graduating from the University of Hertfordshire.
I hope to continue learning through employment in the film and design industries, and aspire to strengthen existing skills, as well as decorate my abilities with new ones.
I am keen to extend my experiences towards the industry of sustainable design. From this, I am hopeful that I can combine the idea of the sustainable process with that of the film and design industries, enabling a healthy progression that coincides with the current climate.
I have always been very keen on design, particularly spatial, architectural and chair design. From my perspective, I feel that function and form should have as strong a relationship as possible, and in turn naturally produce an aesthetic portraying this romance. Design that I strongly admire are, for example, the Barcelona Chair, and the redesigned Tynant water bottle.
At the beginning of this year I entered into higher education once more at Bucks New Uni to study an MA in Furniture Design. My focus is to engage with sustainable design and build up a knowledge base of materials and approaches I can then transfer throughout the manufacturing industry, in particular, film, creative and promotional media, and furniture.
