*as kids, our bikes - inverted & connected- became a great factory. I’m not sure what exactly we pumped out as we churned the pedals, but clearly cooling required the use of a predictably unpredictable hose. An early adopter of renewable fuel sources, my big sister kept a bucket full of snails at the ready to keep the operation going.
