Dan is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin but spent his primary and secondary educational years in Ellicott City, Maryland and Greenville, South Carolina. He received a B.A. in English from Clemson University in 1982 and after graduate studies in theatre at Illinois State University moved to Lancaster, Pennsylvania where he began a fifteen year theatrical career primarily as a production and stage manager. After meeting his partner and graphic designer Shawn, Walczyk & Young Studios (now Vulcania Graphics & Fine Art) was founded in a four room apartment in downtown Lancaster, PA in 2001. Vulcania Graphics & Fine Art is currently located in downtown York, PA at 122 West Philadelphia Street. Dan specializes in nature, architectural, commercial and event photography, digital printmaking and color management for Vulcania. He enjoys camping, hiking and biking and his love of kayaking often offers a unique photographic perspective for his nature and wildlife photography. Read Less
