Design is a lifestyle and something I'd like to adopt as a culture. I see opportunity for change in everything. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and further learning in the field of Industrial Design, trained in India and abroad, I believe that I can combine all my experiences to give my very best into whatever opportunity for change I see. Design needs to achieve an objective. Be it; making a child laugh....or be it able to make someone walk again. Design to me...is whats crosses borders and then deletes them. Read Less

Growing up in India cannot be explained. It has to be experienced and if you
try asking, all 1.2 billion experiences will be different. Mine was too.
Before I knew it, a few years ago I was standing at the gates of choice!
Engineering? Medical Sciences? Law? These were the obvious choices evident
to me in my situation. I asked for " Architecture " but was let down by a
convincing NO! So be it. I took up the challenge of a 4 year journey and
became a Mechanical engineer.
What did I gain from this? Besides very good practical engineering knowledge,
the best friends of my life, my dream of being a designer, trying to go off the
main stream and really try and follow my dreams. After years of working on
the side with my best friend in our pursuit of being an Industrial Designer, I
ended up at the National Institute of Design ( NID, Ahmedabad India ). Finally
did I have an explosion of hope and confidence!
BOOM! My design life took flight. Inspiration seemed to be everywhere now
that I was doing what I like. I believe that design is a mindset that must be
transferred to an object to give it life. Design is contextual creativity.
My pursuit is on and I enjoy everyday of my professional life because for me,
work IS play! What I may lack in skill, I will make up with perseverance. It is
said that if you do what you like, you do it good instead of trying to simply
like what you do.
Yours creatively,
