The Tao of Pooh

We were asked to participate in a Book Jacket makeover column for the inaugural issue of Uppercase Magazine. After settling on The Tao of Pooh, a longtime favorite, we set out to repackage the book for a more serious, adult audience. Our aim was to simplify and modernize the design, reference Taoism in some way, and minimize the presence of the Winnie the Pooh character, while still holding on to some of the story’s playful nature.

TeleMed Africa

Telemed Africa, a start-up company, needed a professional image to present to investors. They provide a much-needed service in Africa by distributing health-care information to patients via cell phone. These parameters informed the creation of a simple icon and logotype that is recognizable across multiple cultures and languages.

Simple + Pretty

The Speckled Egg, a popular blog on the Blogger platform, was in need of a more modern and professional look. The move to a unique url and a custom Wordpress theme allowed for greater control and usability. And the resulting design for simple + pretty successfully appeals to stationery and design enthusiasts with a minimalist aesthetic.

Realize Your Adventure

Andi Tuttle, the owner and head coach of Realize Your Adventure, wanted to establish the service as a reliable source for young people questioning their paths in life. The distinct look and feel we came up with avoids typical touchy-feely coaching imagery and instead uses bright lively colors to reinforce their positive message.
