Umut Demirel was born and raised in Istanbul. He graduated from the industrial product design course at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. Umut Demirel was born and raised in Istanbul. He graduated from the industrial product design course at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. In 2006, Umut studied at Volda University’s Media Department in Norway. He found this experience to be very fruitful, and one that broadened his vision of design.
Over the last five years, Umut has worked in various design firms. He has fostered an interest in physics and mathematics, and has begun focusing on how to incorporate these in his designs. He has won prizes and taken part in international design fairs. At the moment, he is working as a freelance designer on a wide range of projects – from designing kitchen products and furniture, to promotional products and exhibitions. Read Less
