Dean Elliott is an artist and photographer born in South Africa, who is currently based in Chile. His first love of photography started while completing his degree in Fine Arts after being introduced to medium format photography and the dark room. He was employed as part time lecturer before graduating in 2002. He then accepted a junior position at a studio, following his interest of medium format photography. This time embracing digital photography in its infancy. After almost 10 years of working at studios and lecturing advanced digital photography, part-time at one of the leading digital colleges in South Africa, he decided to embark on his own ventures. His work has taken him to places such as Thailand, Germany, Chile, New York and Miami.

His still-life photography is mostly characterized by its simplicity, color and graphic sensibility, always with a particular attention to detail and technical lighting. His fashion work has a more relaxed approach.
