Design should be holistic, gestalt, empathetic and simple. Regardless the technology, mediation should be minimized, or at least made seamless. Manipulation should be by invitation only and then executed flawlessly. Humanity has too much to do and too much to consume and is in desperate need of less. At the same time, our appetite for meaning and the narratives and objects that support those meanings is insatiable.
