I'm a web designer. I've had an interest in web since I was 18 years old, and dabbled with the likes of Angelfire and Geocities when I first became interested. So I learnt how to code basic HTML and tables at first by myself. But after going to University (where I did an English degree) I figured out that writing English really wasn't what I wanted to do.
I did a 2yr HND Multimedia course where I learnt how to animate in flash, dabbled with some 3D, learnt how to design vector graphics, design in Photoshop and build HTML sites with CSS and PHP. So I'm a bit of an all-rounder. I can communicate with developers but my heart lies with design. I want to make the web look sexy and work functionally. I like collaborating with people, as I feel it's the best way to get a job done right. I want to understand the web better and I can only do that by collaborating and experimenting. Sometimes it all goes a bit wrong, but you never learn by always getting something right. Needless to say hardly anything goes wrong when I'm working on a project as I've learnt my lessons and am avid to listen :)
