Created by myself, formerly the Senior Designer with Bang Design at Venue Publishing, Graphic Bubble offers a creative, multi-disciplined design service. With a specialism in print-based literature, advertising, branding and websites.

Senior Designer with Bang design, I managed all design briefs that came through the studio. During this time I produced work for a varied client base, including South West Business Magazine, Colston Hall, Bristol Balloon Fiesta, Arnos Vale Cemetery and the Diocese of Bath and Wells to name a few. I was also responsible for the redesign of the new monthly Venue magazine and website.



During this time I managed a portfolio of websites that included Venue, Folio magazine and Bang. I also took on the role of work experience liaison officer and was responsible for students who regularly worked within the studio. During quiet periods I assisted the rest of the team with editorial based work and helped with the sourcing and processing of pictures for all of the publications. Prior to my work for “Bang” I was responsible for the design of adverts for Venue, Folio and the various supplements that were published. I was in charge of producing the advertisment pages for these publications and checked for any pre-press errors with type, colours and bleed.

During this time I worked as a Designer for Planglow Ltd which specialises in producing own design label and packaging to the catering industry. Working with a small studio of designers, this involved producing and checking artwork to regularly tight deadlines for logo concepts, labels, sandwich wedges, cups and tortilla wraps, to name a few. I was also the lead designer for creating the logo of the new in-house design studio called ‘glo’. I had an active role within the team meetings when brainstorming ideas, developing logo concepts, art boards and promotional material. In addition, I approved artwork received from printers and checked for any errors with type, colours, bleed, etc.

My role within Bristol News & Media involved designing advertisements for a range of publications. These included - The Bristol Evening Post, Western Daily Press, Observer, Metro and many more. I also had a very hands-on role in making up the pages for print on the following titles - West Country Riders, Beautiful Brides and Primary Times. I mainly worked on the Features team which involved creating some interesting themed adverts, this included the following supplements - Face Of Bristol, Pub Of The Year, Baby Of The Year and many others. 



During this period I also spent 6 months covering maternity leave within the studio at Venue magazine. My role involved the design of adverts, page make up and the sourcing and processing of pictures for the magazine. This included work for Folio magazine and any of the supplements that are distributed within both publications.
