Shout Out!
On my portfolio you will find some of the most interesting work I’ve done throughout my career. But first, let me introduce myself: My name is Daniel Lemos Sousa, also known as “Portuga”. I was born on March 1st 1980, in São Paulo Brazil, I have a European Citizenship and have been working with on-line advertising since 1998.
I graduated in 2002 with a BA in Advertising and Marketing and post-graduated in Design Management from the “Faculdade de Belas Artes” in São Paulo, in 2006.
Currently in London, I work at "The Bio Agency" (since 12/08) as a Creative Designer, working for Accor Services, Cartoon Network, Boomerang TV, Santander Bank, National Trust, Collect and Humana. And also worked in the "Manha Agency" (10/08 -12/08).
In Brazil, I have worked as a Creative Supervisor and Senior Art Director at Rapp Digital, an online Direct Marketing agency, a member of the Rapp Collins Groups and the Omnicom Conglomerate. Has given me a chance to work with some of the most prestigious clients such as Santander Bank, NHS, Ibis Hotel, Piper Models, BC Book Shop, Dirty Dancing Theater, Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in UK, Itau Bank, Itaucard, Philips, Folha de S.Paulo, Nokia, Walita, DASA, Volkswagen and Telefonica.
The experience I’ve acquired during my 10 years on the business has also allowed me to be both nationally and internationally awarded.
Among these awards are 4 shortlists in Cannes (2005, 2006, 2007 e 2008), 2 shortlists on the MM online (2005 and 2007), 1 International Gramado Festival gold (2008), 1 International Gramado Festival bronze (2008), 1 ABEMD bronze (2008), 2 “Desencannes” silvers (2007), 1 “Peixe Grande” gold (2006), 1 Ibest grand prix bronze (2008), 1 Ibest financial services gold (2004 and 2008), 1 American Design Semi Annual Design Contest gold (2008) and 1 American Design Awards Monthly Design Contest silver (2007). I have also given seminars at the Pixel Show, one of the largest design events in Brazil.
Besides working well in a group, I am also very committed, hard-working, funny, and prioritize excellence in every job.
