My name is Daniel Portuga. I was born on 1980, in São Paulo, Brazil. My heart is Brazilian, my blood is Portuguese. I'm currently living in Singapore, and have been working in digital, design and advertising since 1998 across Brazil, United Kingdom and Singapore. I graduated with a BA in Advertising and Marketing and post-graduated in Design Management from the “Faculdade de Belas Artes” in São Paulo.
I currently work in Sapient Nitro Singapore as a Manager Design. While in London, I had the opportunity to work in Sapient Nitro, Rapp, Profero, Saint @ RKCR Y&R and The Bio Agency. In Brazil, I have worked as a Associate Criative Director at Rapp Digital.
During my career I have had the opportunity to work with almost 80 clients in 6 differents countries, such as Accor, Avon, Boomerang TV, Cartoon Network, Coca-Cola, Ibis and Mercure Hotel, HSBC, Itau Bank, Lloyd's bank, Mc Donald’s, Mc Laren, NatWest, Nestle, NHS, Nokia, Petrobras, Pfizer, Philips, Sky TV, Samsung, Santander Bank, Singtel, Standart Chartered, Roche, Skype, Telefonica, Uniliver, Volkswagen, 3M Post-it and many more.
I have won some awards for my work including Webby Awards, Cannes, FWA, Adobe Edge, BIMA Awards, LIA, MM online, International Gramado Festival, ABEMD, Desencannes, Peixe Grande, Ibest, Latin Website Awards, Taxi and American Design Awards CA.
I have also given workshop at the Pixel Show, one of the largest design events in Brazil and a had my work exhibited in the gallery of modern art in Slovakia. Over 40 articles and interviews in magazines, books, websites and blogs around the world.
