My number one goal is to find an Art Director / Designer position with a growing agency that fosters creative freedom and respects the creative process, all while collaborating with a tight-knit team to accomplish amazing brand experiences.
Dan Colgan is a strategic, multi-disciplinary pixel-by-pixel designer who has worked in both creative and production roles for small businesses, large corporations, advertising agencies, and in-house creative service departments. While hungry for great design, Dan has managed relationships with internal and external clients, design, and production teams, and has worked alongside visual designers, UX teams, art directors, creative directors, senior management, and print vendors from concept to completion.
Wearing multiple hats in various roles has allowed Dan to expand his design tool belt to encompass branding, identity design, brand development, logo design, print design, print production, website design, flash design, email design, Powerpoint design, HTML, and CSS design knowledge.
Dan has also had the opportunity to flex his design skill set by collaborating with local print vendors to pioneer detail-oriented, brand customized, high security payroll checks and money orders for ADP and Chicago Currency Exchanges. Pre-press production and design press checks were routinely refined during proprietary security printing to develop special payroll checks that housed up to 18 security layers including abrasion, and blacklight verification technology.
