At the age of 10, Chelms began his artistic pursuits drawing and doodling much in his free time (most of which were mech-warriors and ninjas). Finding much joy in the ability to create and make images out of his imaginations, he grew up with a zeal for all things art and since then have made it an important aspect of his life.
Having completed high school with distinctions in the fine art (in the year 2006), he set out to do his undergraduate studies in Canada at York University majoring in Fine Arts Cultural Studies. As a result, he was exposed to a discipline that encouraged lateral thinking and provided opportunities to explore an interdisciplinary study within the fine arts. His specialization and stream went towards understanding artistic concepts and theories and new media studies. So essentially, he was taught to think “outside-the-box”. Read Less
