Colleen began taking pictures for yearbook in 6th grade. She attended Whitfield School at that time where they did black and white film and they developed it themselves. She had begun to fall in love with the medium. She went to Oakville Senior High for her senior year and couldn't get into a regular art class, so she decided to take Photography to enhance what she already knew about the Dark Room. The romance with photography bloomed.
Since then she has turned her sights more to digital and manipulating the pieces on the computer. Her true love is and always will be the Dark Room, but as the photo world continues to change so must she learn to change with it. At some point she plans to take classes on digital photography to enhance what she has taught herself, and to add on to it as well.
She loves to take pictures of nature, architecture, her nephew, her son, and her pets.
She is also interested in taking portraits and learning the process and art behind this type of photography.
She has a lot of small project ideas - so don't be afraid to tap into her creativity! Read Less
