Hello! I am Laura Booth, an American freelance web and graphic designer living with my husband in Göttingen, Germany. In 2009, I set up my freelance graphic design business, Creative Booth Design Studio. Despite living 5000 miles away, I also continue to work as a freelance graphic design contractor for Vandover in St. Louis, Missouri, where I began in 2007.

In addition to the work above, I've also done contract work for Amazon.com, designing flexible, simple-to-edit e-mail templates for their e-mail marketing campaigns, and I currently have a freelance contract with a major greeting card company based in Norway.

I am still building my freelance business and am looking for contract and/or freelance work, but I am also open to part or full-time positions that allow me to work remotely. I've done work for clients in the United States, Australia, Israel, Switzerland, Norway and Germany, and plan to continue working for clients on an international basis.

As a child growing up in the woods of southeastern Connecticut, my creativity and imagination were able to run wild. Building forts, making bon-fires, designing additions to the playhouse, building creek bridges, and exploring old Indian foundations were daily activities. But when my family moved into the city at age twelve, my creativity turned to paper and pencil.

A tomboy from the day I was born, my drawing subjects were typically mountain bikes. But I would occasionally expand my horizons to other sports heroes, looney tunes characters, Norman Rockwell paintings, and logos. I loved logos.

Just drawing the subject was never enough for me. I had to design an entire layout, complete with text and supporting background images. It was my older sister who told me as a teenager, there was a career called graphic design. It didn’t take much from there to decide what I wanted to do.

I moved to St. Louis at age 23 and completed the Graphic Communications program at Meramec there. I then studied at Washington University in St. Louis, met my incredible husband during a summer program overseas, got married a year later, and then moved to Germany!

Immediately following my education at Meramec, I began an internship at Vandover in St. Louis. Three years later, I am still working for that company while developing my freelance graphic design business, Creative Booth Design Studio. I do projects for clients all over the world, from Germany to the States to Australia.
