Jonathan Ostos Yaber (Mexico - 1985) - Also known as “El Zombie” He is the Director, animator and co-writer of the multi-award winning short film “La nostalgia del Sr. Alambre” (SIMONA GESMUNDO, Huesca, Cut Out Fest). Graduated from the Vancouver Film School and UWE in character animation, 3D animation and VFX.
In his films and videos he mixes a wide range of techniques from live action, stop motion, CGI, 2D, and cutout. His films have travelled to more than 130 different film & animation festivals including Cannes, Annecy, Huesca, Edinburgh International Film Festival, SICAF, Anima Mundi, SXSW, LA Shorts Fest, Cut Out Fest, Morelia International Film Festival, Comic Con.
Founder & director of ComeSesos animation studio in Mexico City. In the spring of 2011 he directed the United Nations “Human Rights” campaign for Latin America, with more than 1 million views in 1 week. He is now directing his first feature film “The Morphable Man”, script he developed during Binger Writer’s Lab in Amsterdam, directing and animating “Who Killed Imagination” (Creative Focus, Annecy 2012) a new interactive animated film and giving workshops all around the world in the subject of independent animation.
