MOBILE PHONE CAMERA WORK!
Aleksandar Siljkovic a.k.a. Colonel Cody is mobile photographer from Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina. A member of the Yugoslav “generation X”, lost in the Balkan geopolitical transition of the 1990's taking photos with his mobile phone as he walks. The speed of digital photography makes him think of an old family Polaroid and a child's impatience to see photos as soon as possible.
In mobile photography, he is interested in spontaneity, which he sees, primarily, as recording momentary emotions and “internal landscapes.” Photographs occur when the psyche “replicates” on a concrete scene, as in psychic automatism in surrealism.
He has been on the "Never Ending" Photo Tour since 2009.
His work was showcased in New York, Berlin, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Banja Luka…
