Chien-Ju Peng was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. After graduating from Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) with Bachelor’s of Design in Graphic Design in Toronto, Canada, he returned to Taiwan and worked at Total Design Studio to bring his design skill into full practice.
He left Total Design three years later specifically to return to school and delve further into interactive web and application design. He chose Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) for its reputation for strong interactive design and development, motion graphics, and 3D modeling and animation.
While studying at RIT, he was a web designer and developer at King Media International Co., Ltd. for two summers, putting the interactive knowledge and skills he was learning into practice.
