Responsible for the development and production of design projects for Advertek’s clients as well as produce promotional materials aimed at establishing Advertek’s presence as a leader in the printing industry. Being the only designer, rapid brainstorming, critical decision making and strong workflow management skills have been accrued while at Advertek. Exposure to a prepress environment has increased my awareness in preparing art files to deliver a hassle-free and efficient production. My work has helped to attract more clients seeking creative solutions and assisted in the formation of a branding team of which I am the Senior Designer.

I've been fortunate to provide design work for such clients as Shikatani Creative and Canon Canada Inc.

Was engaged in all aspects of the design process including receiving briefs from clients, concept development, formally presenting work to clients, making revisions, and preparing final art for print production. I was exposed to the intricacies of working in a studio; an environment where working in-tandem with your peers and the ability to prioritize tasks is paramount to producing a successful product. This presented me with opportunities where I was responsible for the continued operation of the firm while the principal was absent.

Designed print invitations for corporate events and private functions. This freelance work demonstrated effective use of resources within strict time parameters.

Acted as a photographer’s assistant involved in setting up lighting equipment and taking photographs in studio sessions and weddings. Technical work involved use of Adobe Photoshop to edit images and design promotional material for the company.
