"Drawing, sketching, painting, photographing have always been Charbel’s all-time passions. More, a daily breath.

After solid interior architecture studies in the Fine Arts Department of Beirut’s Lebanese University, Charbel Abou Zeidan becomes all the more curious to explore new artistic grounds. Be it dark or gothic, organic or biomorphic, or even sleek and minimal, architecture is always the starting point of Charbel’s every creative reflection. From there, Charbel attentively observes and looks out for every minute detail.

While forging his own creative language, he worked as set photographer for Lebanese artists and filmmakers, and in studio for many fashion houses. Blessed with a real sense of fashion and elegance, Charbel soon meets Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran, with whom he will collaborate for three years, before joining Maison Elie Saab. Following the steps of the Haute Couture master for five years, he slowly but wisely imposes himself as head designer: researching themes, drawings prints, choosing materials, cuts and colours, Charbel works closely with in-house ateliers when he doesn’t shoot backstage pictures during the actual shows or follows Dita Van Teese – as her personal stage photographer – during her Crazy Horse show. Devoted and enthusiast, Charbel will grow out of this experience as a multifaceted artist and designer." Marie Lefort Read Less
