With 17 years working as an art director, designer and project manager in the music industry as well as agency and corporate settings, I have been responsible for creating highly conceptual designs, working with artists to best represent their work while serving the goals of my employers and clients. I have a great deal of experience hiring, supervising and collaborating with photographers, illustrators and other designers to bring each creative vision to life. In December 2009, Jazz Times listed two of my covers among the 10 best of the CD era.
I am currently completing the Professional Certificate in Web Producing at the NYU School of Continuing & Professional Studies. This intensive program provides a strong background in media management, film and video producing, information architecture and user experience for digital applications. I am well-versed in current trends in online content, as well as the opportunities and limitations of technology.

Produce work for a client base that demands creative excellence and attention to detail, primarily within cultural contexts. Meet with key executives and other professionals to develop project brief, scope and budget, build the creative and/or technical team necessary to carry out the vision, and facilitate final production. Develop comprehensive campaigns, identity systems, brand guidelines, interactive design, packaging and marketing materials for diverse companies, non-profits, agencies and independent artists. Clients include EMI, Concord Music Group, Universal Music Group, Wieden+Kennedy and Wolff Olins.

Managed a number of projects simultaneously by creating detailed proposals, budgets and print specs; led a team of designers and production artists; maintained quality control, workflow and budgets. Researched market conditions and competitors, developed campaigns in conjunction with copywriters and in-house marketing departments for diverse market sectors. Created new applications, layouts and templates for redesigned corporate identity system. Worked closely with the Creative Director and other senior management to maintain the firm’s brand standards and to fulfill clients’ needs.

Working closely with label executives, musicians, artist management and marketing staff in a team environment.
