BFA Graphic and Interactive Communication
It was here that I really learned the core basics of design. I spent my first year doing everything from sculpture, figure drawing, practicing color theory, and learning the ins and outs of the Adobe Creative Suite. From there, I began developing my skills in craft, precision, and detail, while still learning the history of graphic design and the philosophies behind type. In addition to the basic fundamentals of graphic design, Ringling also taught me the importance of presenting and vocalizing my thoughts and work, collaborating with others, the ability to accept critique, the ability to work quickly and efficiently, and the value of artists in majors outside my own. Overall, it was one of the most challenging and most valuable experiences in my life.
