I am a 15 years experienced designer. Currently I am running my own design company and giving classes at two major Portuguese Universities in Design (Bachelor and Master Degrees).
These two complementary paths gave me the opportunity to develop skills both in design and project management, aimed directly to client/market needs, as well as an active role within the academic community, involving innovative investigation and conceptual design projects.
In the Design Company I have been working with a wide national and international client portfolio. I have a considerable experience in project management and stake holder’s co-ordination, leading negotiations with clients at all levels. I always aim at the project’s success and client’s total satisfaction; I have been accumulating a fair share of long term business relationships with several clients, as well as with suppliers. Besides the design project conception and development, my experience has allowed me to deal with different related matters, such as: engineering, injection tools developers, prototyping and rapid prototyping, production and assembling in different industries, etc.
As part of the academic community, team motivation, researching towards innovation and promoting relationships between professional and universities has always been a major concern. Over the years I have been involved in several international contest participations, sponsored projects, and students’ internship programs, as well as design investigation projects.
