Brett O’Mahony is an Irish designer currently living and working in London. Focused on clean, miminal approaches to complex communication problems, using typography, photography and illustration as visual tools for branding, editorial, digital and video projects. Brett also uses info-graphics as a means to take large volumes of information and put it in a system that allows the viewer to dip in and out of the information itself making the communication of vast information systems clear. Inspired by the clean lines of Scandanivian architecture, and Dutch typography, her focus is to design information through a clean, considered and paired back aesthetic.
On the basis of her degree work in Visual Communications at LSAD Ireland, Brett was awarded membership to the International Society of Typographic Designers, awarded the Visual Communications Graduate of the year award from the Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI) in 2013. Also in 2013 she was also chosen for the Visual Futures – A Design Industry Initiative award, and her project ‘Disparate Connections’ was awarded the LIT Collection award. She graduated from LSAD in Ireland in 2013 and is now part of the digital design team at Burberry’s head office in London. Read Less
