I’m Brea (brē) – a Milwaukee-based graphic designer and student.
I was born and raised in Whitewater, WI. After graduating high school, I began my education at Gateway Technical College for Graphic Communications in Elkhorn, WI. By networking through my instructors, I was able to gain freelance experience during this time. In 2008, I began working for Johnson Financial Group in Racine, WI as a marketing temp. In 2009, I finished my Associate’s Degree at GTC and moved on to UW-Milwaukee for my Bachelor’s in Graphic Design. Shortly after beginning my education at UW-Milwaukee, I began working for Marcus Theatres as a graphic design intern. I was later promoted to the Creative Artist position.
Design inspires me. I can’t look at anything without wondering how and why it was made, and how I could improve it. Design is literally everywhere we look. It is thrilling to be a part of such an important role. I love being a graphic designer because it allows me to organize information into a sensical, beautiful way. Read Less
