Hi i'm Basil Vargas!
I'm currently a senior in highschool located in Carlsbad, CA (in North San Diego County). I never thought I would come even close to thinking that I would try out photography. In all honesty I thought you had to be rich to be a good photographer! I was proven wrong when my cousin bought a Nikon d40 DSLR. I became interested with the inner workings of a camera and soon bought a camera of my own after working all of summer 09 for one. From there I never put my camera down, shooting whatever I could, calling friends and family, asking if I could take pictures of them.
This little hobby began to grow into more than a hobby. I find a type of peace with myself taking pictures, as well as interacting with my subjects. I'm in my own little "zone" when I'm taking pictures, and I realized I really want to do this for a living. Read Less
