Fabric is a material with no boundaries. Its ability to contort, flow, rip, cut, shape, cover and reveal brings an endless amount of possibilities. Surface embellishment has become my main tool for examining these possibilities. Exploring fabric as a medium through texture, depth and form is the driving force behind my work. Utilizing beading, embroidery, digital printing, laser cutting and other surface textures, I create fabrics that stand alone as objects, and are no longer seen as just a material.
