Artashes Stamboltsyan was born in 1971, Yerevan, Armenia. He is a professional photographer and graphic designer with twelve years’ experience. He specializes in commercial photography, including advertising and corporate photography, concept photography for music bands’ press books and album covers.
Along with it, Artashes is working on several personal art projects, which include portraiture, cityscapes and street photography. With one of these project "Les pères des filles“, he had solo exhibition in Armenian Center For Contemporary Art (Cafesjian Museum Foundation).
In his personal works Artashes delicately explores inner, hidden sides of the objects in front of the camera whether people or city landscapes, trying to reveal under seeming simplicity “a story that wants to be told”.
His long-term experience of working in a variety of film and digital formats, in-depth knowledge of post processing and retouching computer techniques matched with strong foundations in photography, graphic design and cinematography make Artashes extremely flexible in using different techniques and attach special recognizable style to his works.
