Apparati Effimeri work in the field of visual design, experimenting the possibility to create new links between the past history of human vision and contemporary techniques and approaches to visual art.
The project started in 2008 in Bologna with the focus on bringing up to date the idea of displays typical of the parties.
In the past, especially during the Baroque period, the artists used to decorate monuments and buildings by using temporary elements.

The “ephemeral apparatuses” were custom-made for each celebration and employed to allure the people through visual symbols.

This projection technique produces highly spectacular effects which allow and open up infinite new creative applications.
Their first works started off in Bologna’s new underground scene; among the circles of digital arts festivals between 2007 and 2008, Apparati Effimeri began experimenting new visual displays to play along the different performances of sound artists. From there, their research has been implementing ever since, becoming a well renowned artistic language, always characterized by a meticulous analysis of the locations where their performances take place.
