Andy's work often involves taking simple subjects such as a splash of paint from a bottle or the silhouette of a naked body and pushing them to abstract and surreal forms. His style is borne out of an acute affinity for structure and form and his technical approach, while highly considered, is aimed at making images that are easy on the eye and "effortless". The resulting work is both dramatic and beautiful, often playful, and always rendered with great clarity and detail.
