I have recently graduated from the Masters Architecture course at the University of Ulster.
I came to architecture from an artistic rather than a practical background. To me architecture is the ultimate multi-disciplinary art form, a language in it's own right that never the less depends upon other languages for expression.
I see architecture as the background to life itself, shaping the environments in which we play out our lives. Phenomena received through our senses acts as the bridge between the external world and the internal self. Everything from navigating a city or urban situation to sitting quietly, absorbing the atmosphere of a room through our eyes, ears and skin has a profound effect on both an individual’s disposition and direction of society itself.
