My creative work typically involves the communication of an idea. The graphics I produce help inform people about a social problem, or simplify an academic concept. The idea communicated also might be a purely aesthetic or expressive one.

Presently, I am an undergraduate at Rutgers University, jointly studying philosophy and geography. As it concerns the former, I am interested in philosophy of social science, metaphysics, ethics, and social philosophy. In geography, I am most interested in urban design, adaptive re-use, political economy, built environments, and critical realism.

I am relatively new to the field of graphic design. The work I hope to do will allow me to bring my academic knowledge to bear on a particular issue, and more effectively communicate my perspective with the aid of design. For me, the defining quality of good work is not just the qualities of the work itself, but its connection to a broader goal or community. An ideal project would help inform the right people about a positive solution to a social problem. I want my work to be good not just for its own sake, but because it, in whatever way possible, contributes something to society. Read Less
