Alan Gerardo (1991) was born, lives and works in Monterrey, Mexico.
Alan is currently studying the fourth year of Industrial Design at UANL, in Mexico. At the same time, he develops projects for local and foreign companies, as well personal projects too.
His work focuses on the fields of furniture and product design.
He is also co-founder and editor of Black Lab., in collaboration with Cristina Hernández. Black Lab., is a design blog in spanish, where the objective is to spread the culture of design in Mexico and generate links between creatives for a common purpose.
Considered by Adweek among the select group of "Talent 100" of 2011. Winner of the People's Choice Award in RTT Funky Visualization Contest 2011 in Munich, Germany, and currently finalist of the 5th National FurnitureDesign Competition DIMUEBLE 2012 (Mexico).
