Hello, my name is Alexander Ray Watkins, Jr. I'm a freelance artist/ concept artist/ sculptor/ illustrator and founder of AESTHETICZ. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have been passionate about art since the age of 3 and have been crafting my skill in comics, cartoons and paintings ever since. I have studied some of the greatest pencil artist, ink artist, and storytellers in the comic book industry such as Kirby and Stan Lee (Marvel), Jim Lee (Image), Todd McFarland (Image), Peter Chung’s animation (Aeon Flux). These great artists along with my cousin, Devron Jones, and my uncle, Anthony Jones, have been my main source of inspiration. Recently, I have been working on numerous storylines, comic book illustrations, and ceramic sculptures. I began designing my own concept characters at the age of 14 and have designed a total of 120 characters throughout my career. All of my characters belong to a comic book series I created called Zygon.

My history as a professional artist has been wonderful and creatively enriching. I have gained great experience throughout my career from the artistic work I have provided to the many different fields in the industry. I have done work as a freelance art director for t-shirt companies, contributed art to churches and communities, conceptually designed characters for Anaria Online with Mashiyu Entertainment America, character layout sketches of Doug Williams for the BCFX for Nerjyed Entertainment Inc. I have received many awards from numerous art shows, drawn caricatures of tourists for an international mall, performed live art for Easy Breathe Productions, hosted art shows & events, achieved an award for a presidential painting of Barack Obama (which was featured in the heritage museum at the Creadle School of Art). Soon, I will be releasing some more of my comics to the entertainment industry such as Zygon, Zygon 4009, Cyber Phunk, Hell Raven, 7 Years, Jigga, and Android 5700 the Rebirth.
