After graduating from SVA, I traveled to Uganda to work on photography in a place that was completely different than what I was used to. To give back to the community, I taught English and math at a secondary school for their fall term. My passion for teaching grew with my photography and upon returning home I was accepted into the NYC Teaching Fellows program. I received my Master's in Special Education from the City College of New York and taught at the Henry Street School for International Studies on the lower east side. Photography and art found their way into most of my lessons. I just returned from my second trip to India with the International Leadership Program, taking 12 NYC public high school students on a 3-week cultural immersion program in the exiled Tibetan community of Dharamsala. Currently in Barcelona, in October I will be moving to Valencia, Spain where I will again put myself in a place different from what I'm used to, in hopes of progressing as a photographer. Read Less
