For the past few years I worked as an Event Planner, creating festivals and activities designed to create a sense of community for the residents of a large neighborhood in San Francisco.
I see my career continuing in Events; however it will be highlighted by my building skills in design. An MFA in graphic design is an incredible asset in the non-profit industry, as I will be able to provide a service that is otherwise much too expensive and often unaffordable for organizations with limited resources.
I am currently working on my masters thesis, which will aim to assist organizations with community outreach, using meaningful events to connect with target audiences. It will utilize graphic design and organizational skills in tandem to support successful events. Read Less
