Sliced Pixel Project

Sliced Pixel Project
After making my experimental piece called "Graphic Skull" I decided to make some more works using this technique. And here they are, four animals made using, what I now call, the "sliced pixel" technique.

Yearbook Graduate Students

Each year all the graduate students of the Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam (the Netherlands) get a yearbook.
This year I was asked to design this book.
After a few brainstorms I came up with the theme "Yes We Can". Everybody will recognise this quote of Obama's presidential campaign.
I used this quote because I see Obama as a very inspirational figure for many people, he brings hope to people all over the world. And I saw some parallels with Obama's campaign and the message I wanted to bring to the graduating students. I want to inspire them to make a difference in their future job. To think outside the box, to bring change. And he's a great example for the fact that if you truly want to, you can fulfill your ambitions.

As I stated above, I wanted to inspire the students, so besides the theme "Yes We Can", you will find pages with inspirational quotes throughout the yearbook.
